The broad objective of the course is to provide candidates with the ability to:

  • Establish an OHS Management System in accordance with legislative, organisational and site requirements.
  • Interpret and demonstrate understanding of the requirements of such guidance documents in developing a suitable system.
  • Utilise a thorough knowledge of risk management and its context in developing the system.
  • Incorporate incident and emergency response requirements in the system.
  • Supplement the process with training knowledge for implementation.
  • Establish an implementation plan and approach for ensuring effectiveness.
